Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Donburi

Ingredients

Chicken & Main Ingredients

400 grams Tyson Grilled Tender Chicken (thawed)

200 grams Japanese or Jasmine Rice

Spicy Teriyaki Glaze

200 ml Prepared Teriyaki Sauce

3 pieces Whole Dried Chili

50 grams Ginger (peeled & smashed)

30 grams Garlic (minced)

25 grams Spring Onion (thinly sliced)

50 ml Water (mixed into slurry)

15 grams Cornstarch (mixed into slurry)

Garnish

150 grams Broccoli (Steamed)

20 grams Shichimi Togarashi spice

50 grams Vegetable Oil

Cooking Instructions

  1. Steam the rice and keep warm until serving.
  2. In a large wok or sauté pan, heat oil over high heat.
  3. Sautee garlic and spring onion for 1 minute.
  4. Add in teriyaki sauce, whole dried chili and ginger.
  5. Cook on high heat for 4-5 minutes.
  6. Remove chili and ginger from the mixture, and discard both.
  7. Whisk in cornstarch slurry, reduce the heat to medium, and stir for 1-2 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
  8. Add in Grilled Tender Chicken, reduce heat to medium and stir for 2-3 minutes until the chicken is heated through and completely glazed.
  9. Remove from heat and stir in Shichimi Togarashi spice.
  10. Divide rice between 2 bowls (for 2 servings).
  11. Top rice with chicken and broccoli as desired, and garnish with extra spring onion and Shichimi Togarashi.
  12. Serve and enjoy!
