Cheesy Buldak Buffalo Wings

Ingredients

Chicken & Main Ingredients

500 grams Buffalo Chicken Wing Stick Tyson Buffalo Chicken Wing Stick

300 grams Mozzarella / Pizza Topping Mix Cheese

40 grams Spring Onion (Thinly Sliced)

10 grams White Sesame Seeds (Toasted)

Spicy Buldak Sauce

50 ml Vegetable Oil

30 ml Garlic (Grated/Finely Minced)

30 Ginger (Grated/Finely Minced)

50 grams Shallot (Finely Minced)

25 ml Mirin / Sweet Rice Wine

25 grams Sesame Oil

100 grams Gochujang paste

10 grams Korean chili powder/ Chili Flake

10 grams Brown Sugar

120 ml Chicken Stock

20 ml Light Soy Sauce / Seasoning Sauce

Cooking Instructions

  1. Cook Buffalo Chicken Wing Sticks as per instructions.
  2. While the Buffalo Chicken Wing Sticks are cooking, heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add in garlic, ginger, and shallot. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes or until fragrant and starting to caramelize.
  4. Add in mirin, stir for 30 second. Add in gochujang paste, Korean chili powder (or chili flakes), and brown sugar. Stir until combine for 30 seconds.
  5. Add in chicken stock and light soy sauce. Reduce heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 5-7 minutes until reduced and thickened.
  6. Place Buffalo Chicken Wing Sticks in an oven-safe dish. Top the chicken with half of the cheese and top with half of the sauce, repeat layering once more.
  7. Top with sesame seeds and half of the spring onion. Bake in a preheated 180’C oven for 8-12 minutes or until cheese is fully melted
  8. Remove from oven, top with remaining spring onion.
  9. Serve on a heat proof surface and enjoy!
